We hope you are having a great week.. we are. We are home with our families enjoying this Independence Day.When I think of the 4th of July.. It reminds me of the freedom to eat way to much watermelon, or perhaps hopping to the closest state border fireworks store.. U know the one with the MASSIVE BLOW OUT SALE!!.. Or when I was younger. It was the freedom of eating as many hot dogs in a minutes time.. to beat my arch enemy in the yearly contest.. Or perhaps finding a water hose and a good muddy hill and creating a let's just say "natural" slip-n-slide with my neighborhood buddies.. And then track it in the house of course!... Or maybe going out on a boat with friends and watching the "ohh they're gonna be better than last year" local fireworks... But more recently it was the freedom of climbing on top of my house with my beautiful wife and watching like 5 firework shows at once with a whole new respect on the holiday.. You see Its more than just cookouts, vacations, and overpriced chinese explosives...It should remind you to be thankful for our everyday freedoms.. We can wake up every morning and not fear being thrown in jail for going to church or even just claiming to be a Christian... We sometimes forget how blessed we are to live in this FREE country.. It didn't come easy, many men and women died for that freedom!...We get caught up in who is gonna have the bigger grill to have the "best cookout".. Stop and look around you... God has blessed us.. And chose you and I to live here. Despite all our problems as a country .. Let's not loose sight of that simple blessing and the one true FREEDOM in living for Him!
