Thought of the Day...
Sunday, April 11th, 2010
I was reading Rick Warren's "The Purpose Driven Life" this morning and a certain quote jumped out at me. It says "If God intentionally made us all different, why should everyone be expected to love God in the same way." If you look back in the last 2000 years, people have worshipped in so many different ways. When I was a teenager, I had someone approach me in church, condemning me about not worshipping the right way...or I guess "his" way...all because I wasn't singing during the hymns. I just find this interesting because it seems that as Christians we sometimes get so wrapped up in a certain way of worship and fool ourselves in thinking it is the ONLY way to worship. Once again, God created us all different. Think for a minute...To anyone that has a child...do you ever find yourself just sitting back watching your little one play, eat or just sleeping peacefully? I do, and I find myself smiling. I'm pretty sure God feels the same way about all of His children as long as we honor Him with whatever we are doing! So the next time you think....I only went to church for one hour of worship this week..is that enough? Try and remind yourself, I can honor and worship God everyday of every week by doing many things....fellowshipping with people, dancing, enjoying nature, playing music, doing lawn work, or using any talent and gift God has given us...just as long as we give Him praise in it.

Thanks for your support and we hope to see you at a show again soon!

Blessings - Chris
